Overview

FAIT, French for “fact” or “what was done” is a stark depiction of the damage done to the landscape after the 1991 Gulf War. Sophie Ristelhueber won the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize 2010.

This new facsimile of the original edition is part of Errata Editions Books on Books, an on-going series dedicated to making rare and out of print photography books accessible to students and photobook enthusiasts. Each reprints the contents page per page with an essay about the book. Jeffrey Ladd of Errata Editions writes an excellent blog 5B4 about photobooks.
