We were disappointed when we heard that the original digital toy camera the Digital Harinezumi was to be discontinued because its 1.5 inch LCD monitor had gone out of production. Superheadz looked all over to round up enough of the tiny monitors to make one Final Edition; the Harinezumi Guru.

Why Guru? The name “Digital Harinezumi Guru – final 2011 Special Edition” comes from the double meaning of the word Guru; the "spiritual guide" in the English sense and the onomatopoetic Japanese word "guru guru", the meaning of which refers to the swirly lines on the front cover.

Like its predecessors it is a tiny digital camera designed for shooting lo-fi and dreamy stills and movies. The Guru combines the best features of the very first mode- its jerky cine film style video footage with all of the features of the previous 2+++ model.

Movies can be shot at three speeds; smooth 30 FPS, super 8 like 8 FPS and stop motion style 1 FPS.

Colours can be shot in ten expressive modes as described below in Superheadz own inimitable style.

The Guru was produced in a limited edition and is available while stocks last. It was announced in October 2011 that the monitors will continue production so there will be future Digital Harinezumi models in 2012; in the meantime the Harinezumi 2+++ is still available.
