This most recent Actes Sud publication on Sophie Calle's work documents three (auto)biographical projects focussing on the topic of blindness: Blind (1986) -"I met people who were born blind. Who had never seen. I asked them what their image of beauty was.", Blind Color (1991) - "I asked blind people to tell me what they see and compared their descriptions with writings by (artists) about the monochrome."  and The Last Image (2010) - "I went to Istanbul. I spoke to blind people, most of whom had lost their sight suddenly. I asked them to describe the last thing they saw."
