"It is so good to see a photographic anthology which seems to be a pure work of love.

Furthermore has been compiled and produced by Jeffrey Fraenkel and his team from the Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco. They say: “Every five years or so the gallery finds itself with a number of scrappy, tenacious, unrelated photographs that want to become a book…” and here it is - a  more than curious rummage through archives of predominantly North American black and white photography, assembled  in a refreshingly freeflowing narrative.

The images are only loosely thematically connected, well known photographers are represented here as well as found images by anonymous imake takers.

Furthermore is very elegantly designed and packaged and most importantly, the images are among the best reproduced and printed I have seen in a while. If you like a well produced book –have a look at this one..."
